Annual 1978 Celebrates its Friends
Gallery 1978 Celebrates its Friends each year with an exhibit of the art of its members, professional and non-professional alike.
To our Friends and artists: thank you for supporting Gallery 1978 and participating in the annual exhibition.
The exhibition features close to 40 talented artists who are Friends of Gallery 1978. On view this year are a wide range of media in 2D & 3D, in style from photography to abstraction, from jewelry to sculpture to print. Many new artists have entered this year and some favorites are back.
Because of Your Support
Because of the support of our Friends, Gallery 1978 can support public programs and support ground breaking exhibits. Last year we devoted the gallery all summer to Promises, Promises: Artifact and Evidence, an exhibition drawing attention to female trafficking. This summer the featured exhibition was Chairs of Inclusion, Everyone deserves a seat at the table, the artist-led project of the WAE Center for developmentally disabled young adults
your support also helps fund
- the annual Black History Month Exhibit, celebrating a prominent artist
- public programs connected to it’s exhibits
- workshops for special needs guests
- support community art projects such as the Maplewood 4th of July
