The center is self-sustaining and programs are organized by volunteers. We appreciate your donations to help keep the center going. Donations should be made payable to Friends of Maplewood Recreation - 1978 Arts Center, and sent to 1978 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. Friends of Maplewood Recreation is a tax exempt organization under IRC 501c(3) and all contributions are deductible as allowed by law.

Donations can be earmarked for specific funds: The Bernard M. Frank Memorial Fund or The Lawrence Kramer Memorial Fund. Please make a note on your check. Donations to The Bernard M. Frank Memorial Fund will be used for various operational expenses. The Lawrence Kramer Memorial Fund will be used to supplement the cost of photography classes for children at 1978 Arts Center. We mourn the loss of these two supporters of the arts and will continue to use the funds to honor their memory.
