presented by New Jersey Photography Forum
Abstract photography is non-representational. It communicates primarily through line, shape, form, color, pattern, texture and use of light. This exhibit includes straight shots, manipulated photographs, those combined with other images, and mixed media. All forms of abstract photography, photographic presentation, processing, printing and physical presentation were considered for inclusion for this exhibition.
New Jersey Photography Forum presents a comprehensive look at abstract photography. Physically to digitally manipulated images are created to evoke emotion. By mixing traditional photography with hot wax and torn paper, images are created and recreated into thoughts and feelings through shapes, color and forms.
Come and see how photography goes beyond normal into abstract.

About NJ Photography Forum
The New Jersey Photography Forum is a group of professional fine art photography exhibitors. The forum was started in 1995 by Nancy J. Ori of Berkeley Heights, and Michael Creem of Summit, as an opportunity for photographers to gather and talk about their work and exhibition opportunities within the fine art community. The group has grown over the years to become the largest and most recognized group of fine art exhibiting photographers in the state. The membership comes from all over New Jersey. As a group they have tremendous variety in style and use a wide array of photographic techniques. There are several recurring themes in their work: Nature, Environment, Architecture, People, Abstracts and Culture. The monthly meetings begin promptly at 7:00PM at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, 68 Elm Street, Summit. The meetings begin with announcements of interest including members' shows, future events and workshops. Members may present their work for discussion. Each presentation and discussion is given enough time to get to know each photographer and their work.
