FRESH 10.0

The 10th Annual Advanced Placement Art Students Exhibit

Join the 1978 family as we celebrate the talent and energy of our next generation of art stars.

Advanced Placement Studio Art is for serious art students who display remarkable talent and who are passionate about art. These promising young artists exhibit creativity and talent far beyond their years.

The 1978 Maplewood Arts Center provides students with the opportunity to gain practical art exhibition experience. This is the chance to see what the next generation of artists have to offer in what promises to be an entertaining and interesting show.
We hope you will stop by the opening reception to talk to the students about their work

This year we are inspired by the savvy and skill of students from Columbia HS, Arts HS, Montclair HS, West Essex Regional HS, Governor Livingston HS, Elizabeth HS Upper Academy.

What is AP Art?

Advanced Placement Studio Art is a class for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. AP Studio Art is not based on a written examination; instead, students submit portfolios for evaluation at the end of the school year.

Advanced Placement Studio Art At Columbia is one the longest running APs in the state, preparing hundreds of students for success in the arts. All of our participating teachers are practicing artist own right, all have and exhibited in major art venues in New York and New Jersey. We welcome B. Curtis Grayson, 2017-2018, Columbia High School Advanced Placement Studio Art Teacher.
